This Ain’t No Mouse Music

The documentary “This Ain’t No Mouse Music” covers the records of blues music. A man name Chris Strachwitz on his early 80’s goes around the country to pursue talented blues artists and records their great music. The main purpose of the film is to re-live the great music of blues and to introduce it to our young generation today.

Acting was really not necessary because of what the documentary was about. The production and music was excellent since the documentary itself was the music. Character development was better than expected. They introduced Chris in the beginning quite well since the first twenty minutes of the film was all about him. They also introduced the artists greatly that Chris interacted with. The documentary tracked the artist’s life back when they did not even started recording their music yet; which gives an excellent character development. For a person at a young age, I don’t really expect them to like this film. It would not interest them too much, unless they’re into old school music.

By not only focusing with the well-known blues artists and by including the local artists as well made the documentary a more interesting film to watch. On the other hand, I highly recommend it to older folks like our parents and grandparents.
